The Dyle has the narrowest river valley of the three with a steep slope from the water surface at 60 m to the edge at 100 m. coat of arms
Court-Saint-Etienne has had a quarter shield as a coat of arms since March 5, 1914. The first field in silver shows a green mountain in reference to the numerous barrows that were found in this area. The second in gold shows Saint Stephen ( Saint Etienne ) in a blue robe. The third in silver shows a green tree, the Arbre de la Justice (Tree of Judgment), which was once located on the highest point of the city and was used for the execution of the guilty. The fourth shows a golden gear wheel on a sand-colored background, which stands for the metalworking industry that brought prosperity to the city.
