Chastre ( Walloon Tchåsse ) is a municipality in the French-speaking province of Walloon Brabant in Belgium . It consists of seven districts : Blanmont , Chastre , Cortil-Noirmont , Gentinnes , Saint-Géry and Villeroux .

The name Chastre is derived from the Latin castrum (fortified camp).

The pianist and composer Séverin Moisse was born in Chastre in 1895 .
