(1723) Klemola is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 18 March 1936 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The asteroid is dedicated to the former school principal and amateur astronomer Irja Klemola , as well as the American astronomer Arnold Richard Klemola .
