(17518) RedQueen is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 18 December 1992 by the Japanese astronomer Akira Natori and Takeshi Urata at the JCPM Yakiimo station ( IAU code 885) in Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the character of the Red Queen from the children's book Alice Behind the Mirrors by Lewis Carroll .
