(188446) Louischevrolet is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 17 April 2004 by the Swiss amateur astronomer Michel Ory on Tenagra II Observatory ( IAU code 926) near Nogales in Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the Swiss-born racing driver Louis Chevrolet (1878–1941) who, together with a partner, founded the Chevrolet Motor Car Company in Detroit in 1911 .
