(2285) Ron Helin ( 1976 QB ) is an asteroid of the main inner belt that was discovered on August 27, 1976 by the American astronomer Schelte John Bus at the Palomar Observatory northeast of San Diego ( IAU code 675).
designation
(2285) Ron Helin was named after Ronald P. Helin , the husband of the American astronomer Eleanor Helin . His commitment was essential to the success of the Planet-Crossing Asteroid Survey .
