(2464) Nordenskiöld is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 19th January 1939 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Swedish explorer Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld , who was born in Finland .
