(24998) Hermite is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 July 1998 by the American Italo- astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( IAU code discovered 684) was.
The asteroid is named after the French mathematician Charles Hermite (1822–1901).
