(27114) Lukasiewicz is a major outer belt asteroid discovered on November 19, 1998 by the Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba at the Prescott Observatory ( IAU code 684) in Arizona .

The asteroid was named on January 28, 2002 after the Polish philosopher , mathematician and logician Jan Łukasiewicz (1878–1956), who made important contributions to logic and introduced the reverse Polish notation , which does not require brackets and enables batch-based processing in computer science .
