(29447) Jerzyneyman is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 12 August 1997 by the American Italo- astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( IAU code in 684) Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Polish - US mathematician and statistician Jerzy Neyman (1894–1981), who set up a leading international school of mathematical statistics in Berkeley from 1938 .
