Gustav Kleff

Gustav Christian Ludwig Kleff (born April 13, 1900 in Dortmund , † July 15, 1967 in Magdeburg ) was a German gynecologist and obstetrician .

Live and act

Kleff was born in Dortmund as the son of an accountant for Hoesch AG . After high school he studied at the Universities of Marburg and Jena medicine . Kleff also received his doctorate in Jena in 1927 . After completing his studies, he trained as a gynecologist in Dortmund, Hagen and at the state women's clinic in Paderborn . In 1928 Gustav Kleff came to the state women's clinic in Magdeburg , where he worked as a senior physician under Alkmar von Alvensleben from 1929 . On April 1, 1947, he set up a gynecological and obstetric department at the Pfeiffer Foundations in Magdeburg, which existed until 1987. At least around 1950 he lived in Lichtenbergstrasse 7, today the southern part of Sternstrasse between Feuerbachstrasse and Seumestrasse, in Magdeburg's old town . Gustav Kleff died in Magdeburg in 1967 at the age of 67 and was buried in the Westfriedhof .
