(2962) Otto is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered in Turku on December 28, 1940 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä .

The asteroid was named Otto Oskari Vaisala, a great-grandson of the discoverer. The nomination took place on June 27, 1991.
