(3193) Elliot is an asteroid of the main belt , on 20 February 1982 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American astrophysicist James L. Elliot .
