(3568) ASCII is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 17 October 1936 by the French astronomer Marguerite Laugier at Nice was discovered.
The asteroid got its current name, derived from the ASCII character coding , in 1988 after a suggestion by Syuichi Nakano .
