(3606) Pohjola is an asteroid of the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, which was discovered on September 19, 1939 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä in Turku .

The name of the asteroid was chosen from Finnish mythology after the location of Pohjola .
