(4079) Britten is an asteroid of the main belt , the February 15, 1983 by US astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.
The asteroid is named after the English composer , conductor and pianist Benjamin Britten (1913–1976).
