(4164) Shilov is a main belt asteroid discovered by Lyudmila Ivanovna Chernych on October 16, 1969 from the Crimean Observatory .
The asteroid was named after the Russian painter Alexander Maxowitsch Schilow (* 1943; Russian Александр Максович Шилов ; English Aleksandr Maksovich Shilow ).
