(4221) Picasso is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 March 1988 by the American US amateur astronomer Jeff T. Alu at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code discovered 675) was.
The asteroid was named on March 11, 1990 after the Spanish painter , graphic artist and sculptor Pablo Picasso , who is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
