(435) Ella is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11 September 1898 by the German astronomer Max Wolf and Friedrich Karl Arnold Schwassmann in Heidelberg was discovered. The approximately 40 kilometer large object orbits the sun on an eccentric (e = 0.16) orbit inclined by almost two degrees against the ecliptic in 3.86 years.
The origin of the name is not known.
