(4409) Kissling is a main belt asteroid discovered on June 30, 1989 by Alan C. Gilmore and Pamela Margaret Kilmartin of the Mt John University Observatory in New Zealand .

The asteroid was named after Warwick M. Kissling (* 1957), a mathematician from New Zealand.
