The Tinkayu ( Mal. Sungai Tinkayu ) or Tinkayu River is a river in the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo . It rises south of Gunung Ambun in the interior of Sabah and flows into Darvel Bay . The Tinkayu with its tributaries forms the "Sungai Tinkayu" river system .

Remarks

  1. In older maps of Sabah, e.g. B. the map of the North Borneo Chartered Company in O. Rutter's "The Pagans of North Borneo" (1929), Tinkaiu is also chosen as the spelling .
