The Tinkayu ( Mal. Sungai Tinkayu ) or Tinkayu River is a river in the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo . It rises south of Gunung Ambun in the interior of Sabah and flows into Darvel Bay . The Tinkayu with its tributaries forms the "Sungai Tinkayu" river system .
