The Klagan River ( mal. Sungai Klagan ) or Klagan River is a river in the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo . He is a left tributary of Sungai Labuk from which he at Kampung Tambidong-Bidong separates and as its own waters of the Sulu Sea flows in.
The river is rich in fish, shrimp, crabs and other aquatic organisms.
geology
The Sungai Klagan area runs through an area of sandstone, limestone and basalt. In the middle course of the river there are igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks in the form of serpentinite , peridotite , dunite , adamellite , dolerite and pyroxenite . In the lower reaches, alluvial soils , peat soils , sand, loam and clay soils dominate the picture.
Economic use
The Sungai Klagan serves as a waterway. Its water is used for washing and cleaning purposes and, above all, for irrigation. It is feared that the water quality will have an adverse effect on the quality of the water through the mining of copper in the Bidu Bidu Hill area.
