The Sook ( mal. Sungai Sook ) or Sook River is a river in the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo . It rises in the mountain region of the Trus Madi Range in the interior of Sabah and flows into the Sungai Pegalan near Keningau . The Sook with its tributaries drains an area of 1684 km².
geology
The Sungai Sook is the central drainage system for the Sook plateau. 22% of the water volume of the Sungai Pada comes from the catchment area of the Sungai Sook, which flows to the Padas via the Sungai Pegalan. The river mainly flows through formerly lacustrine , alluvial sediments.
