(4546) Franck is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 2 March 1990 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Franco-Belgian organist and composer César Franck (1822–1890), who was appointed titular organist of the Ste-Clotilde Church in Paris in 1859 and who in 1871 founded the Société Nationale de Musique with others .
