(4799) Hirasawa is an asteroid of the main belt , the October 8, 1989 by Japanese astronomers Yoshikane Mizuno and Toshimasa Furuta at the observatory in Kani was discovered.

It was named in honor of the Japanese amateur astronomer Yasuo Hirasawa (* 1927).
