(5110) Belgirate is an asteroid in the main belt of the solar system that Edward LG Bowell discovered on July 10, 1983 at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory . He is within the 3: 1 Kirkwood gap , which is 2.50 AU .
The asteroid was named in 1993 after the municipality of Belgirate , located on the west bank of Lake Maggiore .
