(54598) Bienor is a planetoid that was discovered on August 27, 2000 as part of the Deep Ecliptic Survey and belongs to the group of centaurs .
At around 210 km in diameter, it is the third largest confirmed centaur. The asteroid orbit the sun in a slightly eccentric orbit in almost 67 years . The orbital eccentricity of its orbit is 0.200, with this 20.75 ° inclined to the ecliptic .
In mythology, Bienor was one of the centaurs who tried to kidnap the bride Hippodame and other women at the Pirithous' wedding.
