(5526) Kenzo is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 18 October 1991 by the Japanese astronomer Takeshi Urata at the Oohira station of Nihondaira Observatory ( IAU code 385) in Shizuoka Prefecture was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Japanese astronomer and asteroid explorer Kenzō Suzuki (* 1950).
