(6349) Acapulco is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Japanese on September 9, 1977 Astronomers Masahiro Koishikawa of at the Ayashi Station Sendai Astronomical Observatory was discovered.

It was named after the Mexican port city of Acapulco de Juárez , the largest city in the state of Guerrero and the most important Pacific port in Mexico.
