(6549) Skryabin is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 August 1988 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at de Observatoire Haute-Provence ( IAU code was discovered 511).

The asteroid was named after the Russian pianist and composer Alexander Nikolajewitsch Skrjabin (1872-1915).
