(6657) Otukyo is an asteroid of the main belt of November 17, 1992 by Japanese astronomers Atsushi Sugie on Dynic Astronomical Observatory ( observatory code 402) in Shiga Prefecture was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the city of Ōtsu in Shiga Prefecture, which was the capital of Japan from 667 to 672 under Tennō Tenji (626–672).
