(6710) Acts is an asteroid of the main belt , which on April 3, 1989 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 809).

The asteroid was named after the Belgian philosopher Leo Apostel (1925–1995).
