(7015) Schopenhauer is an asteroid of the main belt , the August 16, 1990 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( observatory code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the German author and philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860) who developed subjective idealism .
