(7043) Godart is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 2 September 1934 by the Belgian astronomer Eugène Joseph Delporte at the Royal Observatory in Uccle was discovered.
The asteroid was named on August 28, 1996 after the Belgian astronomer Odon Godart (1913-1996).
