(769) Tatiana is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on October 6, 1913 by the Russian astronomer Grigori Nikolajewitsch Neuimin in Simejis .
The asteroid is probably named after a colleague of the discoverer or after the heroine from Pushkin's Eugene Onegin .
