(7902) Hanff is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 18 April 1996 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code of 809) European Southern Observatory was discovered.

The celestial body is named after the German organist and composer of the North German Organ School Johann Nicolaus Hanff (1663–1711).
