(8034) Akka is a near-Earth asteroid of the Cupid type , which was discovered on June 3, 1992 by the American astronomers Carolyn Jean Spellmann Shoemaker and Eugene Shoemaker at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675).

The heavenly body is named after the Finnish earth mother and harvest goddess Akka , wife of the high god Ukko .
