(82232) Heuberger is an asteroid of the main belt . It was discovered by Markus Griesser in the early morning of May 12, 2001 at the Eschenberg observatory in Winterthur ( Switzerland ).

After extensive further observations, friends of the discoverer succeeded in finding previously unknown traces of this small celestial body in the photo plates of American and Australian observatories.

After the numbering, Griesser suggested the name "Heuberger" to the responsible committee of the International Astronomical Union . This honors the Winterthur entrepreneur and patron Robert Heuberger, who is friends with Griesser, and his wife Ruth.
