(884) Priamus is a Jupiter Trojan . The asteroid, discovered in 1917, is located at the Lagrange point L 5 of Jupiter.
Priam moves around the Sun at a distance of 4.541 ( perihelion ) to 5.787 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in about 4286 days . The orbit is inclined 8.9 ° to the ecliptic , the orbital eccentricity is 0.121. The diameter of Priamus is only very imprecisely known and is estimated to be around 117 kilometers.
The asteroid was named after the Trojan King Priam in Homer's Iliad .
