(9413) Eichendorff is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on September 21, 1995 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( observatory code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named on February 2, 1999 after the Silesian poet and writer Joseph von Eichendorff (1788–1857), who, with around 5,000 settings, is one of the most important representatives of German Romanticism .
