(9445) Charpentier is an asteroid of the main belt , which on May 8, 1997 by the American Italo- astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( IAU code in 684) Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid was named on February 2, 1999 after the French composer at the time of Louis XIV. Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643–1704), who, in addition to numerous operas and pastorals , became known because the main theme from the prelude to his Te Deum is now fanfare is used for television broadcasts within the framework of Eurovision .
