1,1-dichloro-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-114a) is a chemical compound from the group of chlorofluorocarbons (CFC). It is a colorless gas with a slightly ethereal odor. As with all CFCs, corrosive substances such as hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid can be formed when they decompose in air (fire) .
