The 2002/03 season was the tenth regular staging of the first division , the second Slovak ice hockey division . The champion was the MHC Nitra , which was promoted directly to the extra league. The HK Ružinov 99 Bratislava dismounted in the second league.

mode

In the main round, each of the twelve teams played a total of 44 games. The first placed after the main round rose directly to the extra league, the last placed rose directly to the second division. Each team received two points for a win and one point for a draw. No points were awarded for a defeat after normal time.
