The 2002/03 season of the Extraliga was the tenth regular event of the top division of ice hockey in Slovakia . In the playoff final, HC Slovan Bratislava prevailed against HC Košice with a 4-0 sweep and won the fourth Slovak championship title in the club's history. The HK Spišská Nová Ves had to relegate to the second-class 1st division due to the last place in the main round . The team was replaced by the second division champions HK Nitra .

The champions of the 2002/03 season were HC Slovan Bratislava, who clearly won the best-of-seven series against HC Košice with a sweep and won the fourth Slovak championship title in the club's history. Outstanding player in the ranks of Slovan was Richard Kapuš , who scored a total of seven goals in the playoffs and provided 14 assists.
