Ivan Dornič (born April 12, 1985 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with ASC Corona Brașov in the MOL league since 2014 .
Career
Ivan Dornič began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Slovan Bratislava , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovakian extra league in the 2002/03 season . In its rookie year , the center and its team immediately became Slovak champions . After this success he went for a year and a half in the Canadian Junior League Western Hockey League , in which he was active for the Portland Winter Hawks . He then returned to Bratislava and was Slovak champion again in 2005 with Slovan. In this season he ran parallel for HK Trnava in the first division , the second Slovak division.
In the middle of the 2005/06 season Dornič moved from Slovan Bratislava to its league rivals HK 36 Skalica . He left this after only one year across the seasons and joined BK Mladá Boleslav from the second Czech division . In the 2007/08 season , the former junior international was on the ice for HK Nitra in the Slovak Extra League . He then spent two years with his league rival MHC Martin , with whom he won the IIHF Continental Cup at European level in the 2008/09 season .
For the 2010/11 season Dornič received a trial contract with the newly founded HC Lev Poprad from the Continental Hockey League . However, since this then did not start playing, he began playing at HK Detva in the second Slovak division. He then joined the Königsborner JEC from the ice hockey league , before moving to the Rødovre Mighty Bulls from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen in January 2011 . There he was immediately Player of the Month for January. In the 2011/12 season the Slovak played for Metallurg Schlobin in the Belarusian extra league, but ended the season with the Aalborg Pirates in Denmark. He then had a contract with VEU Feldkirch . In the second half of 2013 he played for MsHK Žilina in Slovakia and Aksam Unia Oświęcim from Ekstraklasa , Poland , before moving to ASC Corona Brașov in the MOL league in 2014 .
International
For Slovakia , Dornič took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2003 . In this he scored a goal in seven games and gave another template.
