The 2011/12 season was the 20th season of the Belarusian Extraliga , the highest Belarusian ice hockey division . Metallurg Schlobin became champion for the first time in the club's history .

Main round

mode

In the main round, each of the eleven teams played a total of 50 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or shootout, one point for a defeat after overtime or shootout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
