The 2005/06 season was the 14th season of the Belarusian Extraliga , the highest Belarusian ice hockey division . Champion became for the third time in the club history of HK Junost Minsk .

Main round

In the main round, each of the twelve teams completed a total of 55 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a tie and defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
