The 2004/05 season was the 13th season of the Belarusian Extraliga , the highest Belarusian ice hockey division . Champion became for the second time in the club history of HK Junost Minsk .

For the first time teams from Ukraine and Latvia took part.

Main round

mode

In the main round, each of the twelve teams played a total of 44 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a tie and defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
