The 1999/2000 season of the Extraliga was the seventh regular event of the top division of ice hockey in Slovakia . In the playoff final, HC Slovan Bratislava prevailed against HKm Zvolen with 3-2 victories and thus won the second Slovak championship title in the club's history. Due to his last place in the main round, the HK Spišská Nová Ves had to relegate to the 1st division and was replaced by the second division champion MHC Martin .
