Michal Hreus (born March 9, 1973 in Žilina , Czechoslovakia ) is a German - Slovak ice hockey player who has been playing in the Slovakian extra league for MsHK Žilina since 2009 .

Career

The center began his professional career at HC Sparta Prague , for which he completed eleven games in the first division of Czechoslovakia in the 1990/91 season .

For the 1994/95 season , the left shooter moved to the Maddogs Munich in the newly founded DEL , but due to their withdrawal from play, he had to switch to the Adler Mannheim during the season , for which he was on the ice until 1996 . After a two-year engagement with the Krefeld Penguins , Hreus went back to his homeland, where he first played for HK 36 Skalica and later for Slovan Bratislava.

So far, Hreus has been Slovak champion three times , including two with Slovan Bratislava (2000 and 2007) and once with the MsHK Žilina (2006). He also played a season for the Finnish first division team Rauman Lukko and two years for the Czech club HC Litvínov .

International

Michal Hreus played for the Slovak national ice hockey team in the 2000 World Cup , where he scored two goals and one assist in seven games .
